Leaves colored with the sun
basking in the light,
perched on a branch high atop a tree.
Hues so vibrant,
it's as if each leaf has been
individually dipped in paint
and allowed to dry,
before falling haphazardly
to the ground...
only to be plucked up
by quick hands
and placed carefully
between thick pages
to dry.
